Like New Orleans, NOLA Spaces has deep roots. This space has been re-imagined many times throughout its life. Originally a firehouse, our space has served as an auto repair shop, residential housing, and even a recording studio for local pianist Eddie Bo. The building was purchased in 2010 and lovingly reconstructed with as many original elements as possible. As you walk through the space, you’ll see a shiplap motif which uses wood original to the building, the old firehouse doors which were brought inside and refinished, and even a pole in our lobby, as a nod to the building’s original purpose.
